ABOUT 1664

What started as a small first aid training business has now evolved into a bigger vision of providing a complete solution to businesses and individuals, built on the foundations of decades of teaching, coaching, and mentoring experience.

Mandatory training including First Aid, Health and Safety, GDPR, and other industry-specific modules, can be legal a requirement. But many small- and medium-sized businesses are unable to dedicate the time and resources to creating learning and development material for their staff. With legislation and best practice constantly evolving, it can be expensive and time-consuming for businesses to keep up with the requirements--they become a costly box-ticking exercise which teams have to endure.

At 1664 Training Solutions, our mission is to simplify compliance, and to engage learners with training which takes them beyond the box-ticking exercise. We provide innovative and bespoke training solutions, tailored to your needs, and branded for your company, to give the feel of a dedicated in-house educational team, without the cost and logistics required. We conduct both online and in-person training across the UK, as well as business coaching and workshops, and strive to make continuous professional development engaging, accessible, and cost effective, adding ROI which is tangible in your teams.

MEET THE 1664 TEAM

JAMIE LENNON

Jamie initially joined the Royal Marines in 1999, and served for 21 years, retiring as an Army Captain having transferred to the Queen Alexandra Royal Army Nursing Corps in 2013. As well as multiple operational tours in command and leadership appointments, Jamie held numerous training roles, delivering a wide range of military tactical, security, leadership, and clinical training content in the UK and overseas; to students from across NATO and other partner nations, civilian clinicians, and healthcare staff; from new recruits through to senior officer and executive level audiences, often in high-risk, realistic simulation exercises, requiring precise planning and significant risk management.

He was a key contributor to the complete overhaul and relaunch of the All Arms Commando Course, a Brigade critical operational output, which selects and trains specialist service personnel from across defence, as well as NATO partners, to support 3 Commando Brigade on high intensity operations in any environment globally--including doctors, pilots, engineers and other specialist roles. This required detailed scrutiny of the training pathways, and mapping of deliverable modules to exacting operational performance outputs, and a sound understanding of the psychology of training delivery to a diverse and dynamic audience.

After his military service, Jamie continued to deliver training, education, and leadership development in roles with Nuffield Health and The NHS, before taking these skills and experiences into director and C-Suite level operational roles in the private and charity sectors.

Having led clinical teams during the COVID pandemic, he has experienced first-hand the importance of robust yet dynamic operational processes, underpinned by strong compliance to the fundamentals, and how this allows teams in the most stressful of circumstances, to adapt quickly and learn new skills to meet an emergent and ever changing set of challenges.

Jamie’s “real life” experience in military service and beyond is backed up with academic theory and qualifications. Jamie is a Registered Nurse (Adult) and a qualified teacher (PGCE Level 7), with additional experience and qualifications in coaching and mentoring. This broad background allows Jamie to deliver high-quality solutions to your business’ needs, from Health and Safety Compliance to First Aid Training to conflict resolution to operational consultations.
